Operation by krafteq is an annual service covering security updates, backups, monitoring and support; the first year is included. Self-hosting on your own server is equally available. No. krafteq Handwerk is standard software that already reflects the daily work of a trades business — there is nothing to specify. You get a test instance of your own and see on your own data whether it fits. Whatever does not fit in the first months we see in day-to-day use and fine-tune; the scope is set out in your quote.

XRechnung and ZUGFeRD are built in, not bolted on: invoices arise from the job and go out as a structured data set or as a ZUGFeRD PDF. Receipts, cash book and the DATEV export with the receipt package for your tax advisor are part of it.

The subscription providers are good software. But they bill per user, usually with separate prices for office and field seats, and they run as one system for all customers at once — customer-specific adaptation is typically more limited there, and the scope differs from vendor to vendor. krafteq Handwerk is bought once, per business, in your own installation, and it is fine-tuned for your business.

The perpetual right of use is yours; the software remains our product — which is precisely why it costs considerably less than a build from scratch. If you run it yourself — on your server, with your IT provider or offline — we hand you the source code of the delivered version: for inspection and further development for your business, no redistribution. Under krafteq operation the source stays with us; you can switch to self-operation at any time, and we then hand over images, documentation and source code. If you genuinely need full ownership, you can have it — as a custom development, at the corresponding price.

All updates and security updates are included in the first year. After that, updates and operation run through maintenance — or you run it yourself, in which case your version simply keeps running. The right of use never expires.

No. krafteq bills neither per user nor per workstation — the price depends on the business. Seats for the site are included. At the well-known subscription providers the billing line runs differently: plancraft charges further office and mobile seats separately, HERO each further app licence, and ToolTime tiers by team size (TEAM up to 5, MAX up to 10 employees). Wherever the price hangs on seats, the software gets more expensive the moment you hire.

The office sees the full scope, the site a lean subset: day view, site measurements, hours, receipts. That is precisely why training on site is short. The interface runs in the browser on smartphone and tablet, with central logins and optional single sign-on against Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace. What such a site measurement looks like in detail is shown, using the roof as the example, by the measurement software for roofers: part-surfaces, dormers, valleys and junctions right at the property.

When krafteq runs it, on servers of European providers — Hetzner, OVHcloud or IONOS, depending on requirements — in Germany or the EU. The architecture supports GDPR-compliant operation: a dedicated database for your business, tenant separation, permission models and logging, encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Which sub-processors are involved and which safeguards apply is set out in the Art. 28 GDPR data processing agreement and the TOMs. Or on your own server, or entirely without an internet connection in your own network.

Your installation is your own, not an account on our system. If you self-host, the software, source code and data are with you — you do not depend on us. If krafteq operates it, you can switch to self-operation at any time; we then hand over images, operating documentation and source code.

Yes, all three are built in: DATEV export with posting suggestions and a receipt package for your tax advisor, GAEB import and export for tenders (GAEB 90, GAEB 2000, GAEB DA XML), and Datanorm for item and supplier prices. Plus CAMT.053 for reconciliation against your bank statement.

Usually yes — depending on data quality and source (spreadsheets, CSV, an export from the legacy software). We extract customers, jobs and master data and bring them across. Effort and terms are clarified in the initial consultation, once we know what your previous software can give us.
