krafteq Cloud — EU server operations, first year included

Operations is an annual service per installation. When you buy, the first year is included in the purchase price; from the second year onwards it is billed annually — or you move to self-operation. Included are server operations in Germany, security updates, daily backups, monitoring, support, GDPR-compliant operations with a DPA, TLS and your own domain. Within one installation, any number of users and roles is included — billing is per installation rather than per head. Concrete amounts live in your quote rather than on this page: they depend on load profile, backup requirements and interfaces.

In the first year all updates and security updates are included in the purchase price. After that, updates and operations run through maintenance — which is included in krafteq operations. And without maintenance? Then your version simply keeps running: unchanged, with no time limit, and the right of use never expires. Security updates are then your responsibility — we say that openly rather than play it down.

Yes. The installation runs completely inside your own network, with no internet connection. All required services — including the generation of PDF documents — are available as a built-in variant. Functions that need an outbound connection — such as sending e-mail or transmitting electronic invoices to external recipients — are unavailable or limited offline; which ones is set out in your offer. That matters for businesses with security requirements, poor connectivity, or fundamental reservations about the cloud. With the cloud vendors we surveyed this is not part of the offering according to their own material (as of Aug 2026).

Deliberately excluded are 24/7 on-call cover, contractually guaranteed availability with penalties, high-frequency scaling for traffic spikes, and third-party compliance audits (such as PCI-DSS or ISO 27001 for your own system). Also excluded are further development of your software and data migration from third-party systems — both are available as separate services. On-call cover is available on request as an add-on.

The right of use is perpetual and never expires, and the software runs in standard containers with no proprietary cloud interface. You can move to another EU provider or to your own server at any time. If you self-host, the software, source code and data are with you — you do not depend on us. If krafteq operates it, you can switch to self-operation at any time; we then hand over images, operating documentation and source code.

On request via the customer portal or by e-mail. You receive a current database dump plus an archive of all uploaded files, both in standard formats. Optionally we build a self-service export directly into your software. On cancellation you have 30 days to export all your data — after which it is deleted.

Yes — the switch is possible at any time, we agree it separately, and it is an equally valid option. If you have an in-house IT team or an IT provider, we hand over the container build definition, the operating documentation and the source code of the delivered version — for inspection and further development for your business, no redistribution. You or your provider run it independently, on your own infrastructure or with a provider of your choice. In that case GDPR data processing responsibility lies with you or your provider, and so do the security updates. A version you have modified can return to krafteq operation only after a paid review by us — krafteq Cloud runs only software we built or have reviewed. krafteq Cloud is an offer, not a constraint.

3 months to quarter-end, for both sides. Operations is agreed for one year at a time and billed in advance; for full quarters of an already-paid year that fall after the end, we refund the share. After giving notice you have 30 days to export all your data, after which it is deleted. Operations is not tied to follow-on orders — and your right to use the software is unaffected: you keep the last version delivered.

Regular updates are applied during off-peak hours — typically overnight or at weekends, without noticeable downtime. Larger updates are announced in advance via the customer portal. For critical security vulnerabilities we patch outside maintenance windows as well.

Yes, as standard — provided you choose krafteq operations. In that case krafteq acts as data processor under Art. 28 GDPR; the DPA is part of the contract and you receive it via the customer portal as a signed PDF. We can adapt it on request. If you self-operate, or have your IT provider operate the software, data processing responsibility lies there, not with Krafteq.

krafteq Cloud is the operations layer for software krafteq has built or taken over after a paid review — not a general infrastructure offering. There are three cases we actively decline: systems requiring contractually guaranteed availability with penalties, systems with high-frequency scaling or real-time streaming, and systems whose data must sit outside the EU. If you are unsure, we clarify it in an initial consultation.

Contract language is German. The terms in your written offer and our German terms and conditions (AGB) govern; this page describes the model and is not a contract.
