Standard software for your trades business — bought, not rented

A fixed-price perpetual licence, paid once, plus the operation of your installation — no monthly licence fee and no per-head billing. Operation by krafteq runs as an annual service with the first year included; alternatively you run it yourself and it disappears. We put the concrete terms into your offer once we know your business. You send a short request. We get back to you within one working day as a rule with one or two quick questions, and then set up a test instance of your own by hand — usually within three working days, without a sales call. The terms, units and templates of your trade are already configured, and you can work with your own data. A permanent right of use for the software as delivered, and your own installation — own database, own domain, own configuration. If you run it yourself — on your server, with your IT provider or offline — we hand you the source code of the delivered version: for inspection and further development for your business, no redistribution. Under krafteq operation the source stays with us; you can switch to self-operation at any time, and we then hand over images, documentation and source code. The product stays our product — which is precisely why it costs far less than building from scratch. If you need full rights to the source code, you can get that from us as a custom project, at custom-development prices.

Your installation is your own, not an account on our system. If you self-host, the software, source code and data are with you — you do not depend on us. If krafteq operates it, you can switch to self-operation at any time; we then hand over images, operating documentation and source code.

With krafteq operation, on servers of European providers — Hetzner, OVHcloud or IONOS, depending on requirements — in Germany or the EU. The architecture supports GDPR-compliant operation: a dedicated database per business, tenant separation, permission models, logging, encryption in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. The Art. 28 GDPR data processing agreement comes as standard; it and the TOMs name the sub-processors we use and the safeguards in place. If you prefer, the data can stay entirely on your premises: offline operation without an internet connection is supported.

E-invoicing is built in, not bolted on: ZUGFeRD PDF and XRechnung as standard, with the business terms of EN 16931. Plus DATEV export including the document package for your tax advisor and CAMT.053 bank import for payment matching. More on the page about e-invoicing for trades.

No bookkeeping — it produces entries, documents and the export; your tax advisor does the booking. No stock and no purchasing: a catalogue with supplier terms yes, inventory and ordering no. No payroll — hours are recorded, wages are not calculated. And no portal for your own customers: your clients receive documents by email, not an account.

No. You do not have to write a requirements list or specify anything — krafteq Handwerk is standard software that already reflects the daily work of a trades business, so there is nothing to specify. Whatever does not fit your business in the first months we see in day-to-day use and fine-tune; the scope is stated in your offer beforehand.

Yes. The software runs in standard containers and can be moved to another operator; you can export your data at any time. If you end operation with krafteq, you keep the right of use and the version last delivered — it keeps running unchanged.
