Your own software for your roofing business — free prototype in 5 business days
Rooftop site measurement on a scrap of paper at the ridge, photos on your smartphone down at the eaves, material planning back in the office that evening? Coordinating storm damage between emergency call-out service requests and WhatsApp groups? Keeping weather-dependent schedules in your head? Krafteq builds your own roofing contractor software in 5 business days as a prototype, and in under 4 weeks as a production-ready v1 — fixed price instead of a monthly SaaS subscription. Mobile-first, because you spend 90 per cent of your time on a roof, not at a desk.
Includes mobile rooftop measurement app, weather-aware planning, and storm damage documentation — out of the box.
Who this is forDoes any of this sound familiar?
We build for German roofing businesses with 1–20 employees — owner-operators and master roofers who want to digitise their workflows from roof to office. These five situations are the ones we see most often:
Site measurement on the roof, photos on your phone, material list at home
You measure roof surfaces, pitch, and rafter count with a tape measure and notepad at the ridge. Photos are scattered across three smartphones. Material planning for roof tiles, bitumen membranes, and insulation happens in the evening — and everything gets transferred three times. That costs hours per job.
Weather forces a reschedule — who tells the team?
Rain on Wednesday, storms on Friday, frost overnight. You reschedule by ringing each team member individually, then chasing customers on WhatsApp. Software with a weather API integration could handle this automatically — yet no SaaS provider on the market builds this in seriously.
Storm damage coordinated ad hoc over WhatsApp
After every storm, emergency call-out service requests arrive alongside WhatsApp groups, photo threads, and e-mails. Who reported which damage, who is going where, what has already been sent to the insurer? Without structured storm damage documentation, jobs and revenue slip through the net.
Insurers demand structured documentation — you have photo chaos
Loss adjusters want before/after photos, a damage description, date, GPS position, and measurements. You have a folder of 500 photos with no system. Your own roofing contractor software exports the insurance PDF at the press of a button — structured, complete, and fully traceable.
SaaS tools cannot handle rooftop site measurement
plancraft, ToolTime, and HERO are solid back-office tools — but they are not built for mobile roof surveys with drone photography, GPS, and automatic material calculation. Roofer-specific features, if they exist at all, come as expensive add-ons. Custom software is built mobile-first.
You want to own your code
You have been paying monthly for software that does not belong to you for years. With krafteq, the code is yours from Sprint 1 — data in Germany, EU hosting, data export at any time. If we disappear tomorrow, your roofing software keeps running on any other host.
FeaturesWhat do we typically build for roofing businesses?
A krafteq roofing software solution is assembled from standard building blocks that we tailor to your business. These eight features appear in virtually every roofing project — we will clarify exactly what you need during the initial consultation and walkthrough.
Mobile rooftop measurement app
Recorded directly at the ridge on a tablet or smartphone: roof surfaces, pitch, rafter count, and flashings. With photo documentation per sub-section, optional GPS coordinates, and drone photography. Works offline on site and synchronises as soon as you have a signal.
Material planning from the site measurement
The app calculates quantities automatically from roof area and pitch: roof tiles or clay tiles, slate, bitumen membranes, underlays, insulation materials, and fixings. We store manufacturers such as Braas, Erlus, Creaton, Bauder, and Velux as master data. Order lists are sent by e-mail or PDF to your merchant.
Weather-aware planning
Appointments display the weather at the work location: rainfall risk, wind speed, and frost warnings. You can set thresholds — for example, no roofing work above 40 km/h wind or 10 mm rainfall risk — and the system suggests reschedules. Integration with common weather APIs is included in the fixed price.
Maintenance and repair jobs
Plan recurring jobs such as roof cleaning, gutter cleaning, or inspection automatically, with reminders sent to the client and the operative. Capture repairs — minor storm damage, leaks — in a structured way, with photo documentation and a materials list in a single workflow.
Storm damage documentation and insurance export
Structured damage capture: description, before/after photos, GPS, date, measurements, and estimated repair costs. Exported at the press of a button as a PDF with all attachments for loss adjusters and insurers — ready-formatted, complete, and fully traceable.
Before/after roof photo documentation
A gallery per job with on-site photos and drone footage, georeferenced and annotated. Before/after comparison for evidence, sign-off, and marketing material. Handover report with signature capture on the tablet.
Mobile app for operatives including emergency call-out service
iOS and Android. View jobs, report materials, log time, capture photos — even offline on the roof. Emergency call-out service jobs after a storm are immediately visible and can be assigned to the next available crew in order of priority. Safety equipment documentation (harness, helmet, safety lines) included.
E-invoicing and VOB-compliant invoicing
XRechnung and ZUGFeRD as standard, included in the fixed price. VOB-compliant invoicing for larger roof renovation projects and commercial contracts. Optional DATEV or Lexoffice integration. Rooftop PV system integration billed cleanly as a follow-on job.

TrustWith the rigour of a German engineering partner
krafteq is a German GmbH based in Leverkusen. We have served enterprise clients in industry and manufacturing for years — and we bring those engineering standards to the roofing sector.
krafteq GmbH, Leverkusen
A German company headquartered in the Rhineland. A dedicated point of contact, not a call centre. On-site meetings possible, fully remote equally so — reachable even after a day of emergency call-out work.
ISO 27001 certification in progress
ISO 27001 certification in progress — currently in the gap analysis phase, target Q1 2027. Already in place today: code review on every change, secrets management with HashiCorp Vault, SBOM generation.
EU hosting and GDPR by design
Krafteq Cloud runs on servers in Germany (EU fallback available) — no US CLOUD Act risk. Data Processing Agreement (DPA) available as standard, encryption in transit and at rest. Your clients' data stays in Germany.
Built by Senior Engineers
Every specialist brings at least 10 years of professional experience. This produces software that remains maintainable even after 5 years.
“Roofers work in all weathers, on emergency call-out after storms, taking measurements at 12 metres — and then they are expected to maintain their software at a desk in the evening, software built for office businesses? That does not add up. We build mobile-first, with weather API integration and structured damage documentation — at a fixed price, with code ownership, without a subscription trap. AI-assisted development makes this price point economically viable for the first time. We pass that advantage on to your business.”
